Two Tangles Together

So it happens that my family traveled from upstate NY
to southern Florida for vacation this past 11 days!!

We had a wonderful time...
lots of great time in the sun
I posted lots and lots of photos on flickr!

And I was lucky enough to meet up with Gina for lunch one day!

We chatted about a lot of things over our huge vegan nut burgers!

It was so wonderful to finally meet a "Tangle" face-to-face!

Gina left me with a wonderful postcard... a momento of our Canadian heritage (though we both live in the USA!) and some wonderful pieces of clay that I hope I will be able to add to my art sometime soon
(Thanks a lot Gina!)

Hope to meet more of you some day soon!

Quotable Balances

In case any of you are stuck for inspiration while working on our challenge, I did some Internet surfing and discovered some quotes that might just help some of us with creative solutions to this next challenge.  For example:

“The word 'happiness' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”
Carl Gustav Jung
“The whole imposing edifice of modern medicine is like the celebrated tower of Pisa - slightly off balance.” – Prince of Wales Charles

“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.”
 – Thomas Merton
“Man always travels along precipices. His truest obligation is to keep his balance.”
 – Pope John Paul II
